Global Village fans, get excited – the popular theme park is set to open its gates for its 23rd season on October 30.
Haven’t experienced Global Village yet? Well, you definitely should – it’s one of the city’s top attractions over the cooler months.
The park is home to more than 25 pavilions, which represent over 75 cultures around the world. Within each pavilion, there’s shopping, shows, and amazing food. Want some delicious baklava? Head to the Syria pavilion. Craving some traditional Turkish delight? The Turkey pavilion has got mountains of the stuff.
There’s also a Carnaval funfair area, which includes 28 rides and more than 100 arcade-style games. And it sounds like we can look forward to a brand new circus show in this area this season.
As Global Village only opens for five months of the year (it will close again on April 7), it can get pretty busy – so you might want to know about the theme park’s VIP packs, which will go on sale on September 29.
Platinum packs cost Dhs4000, and include two car passes for VIP parking access and two reserved parking spots, 150 VIP entry tickets, 25 VIP parking tickets worth Dhs200 each, and Carnaval funfair cards worth Dhs500. They also include tickets for the new circus show worth Dhs300 and 20 discount vouchers for 15 per cent off in restaurants.
Gold packs cost Dhs1500, and include one car pass for VIP parking access, 140 VIP entry tickets, 15 VIP parking tickets, and Carnaval funfair cards worth Dhs250. They also include tickets for the new circus show worth Dhs180 and 10 restaurant discount vouchers.
Silver packs cost Dhs900, and include one car pass for VIP parking access, 120 VIP entry tickets, 10 VIP parking tickets worth Dhs200 each, and Carnaval funfair cards worth Dhs200. They also include tickets for the new circus show worth Dhs120 and seven restaurant discount vouchers.
With every VIP pack, guests receive a free Dubai Entertainment Experience pack worth over Dhs1400, which includes vouchers to Dubai Parks & Resorts, Roxy Cinemas, The Green Planet, Mattel Play Town, Hub Zero, Laguna Waterpark, and special discounts at Lapita Hotel in Dubai Parks & Resorts.
You can purchase the VIP packs through the Global Village website, or head to the VIP Sales Centre at the Global Village Management Office from Saturday to Thursday between 9am to 6pm. There are just 4000 packs for sale, so you’ll want to get in quick. Don’t forget to bring your Emirates ID.
