Indian woman strangled to death, buried in Sharjah house

A body of a 36-year-old-Indian woman was found buried in a room of her house in Mysalon Area in Sharjah.

The neighbours notified the police after they could smell a bad odor in the house which was occupied by an Indian family, including parents and two children.

Police comprising forensic experts and ambulance rushed to the house and dug out the decomposed body of the woman with the help of sniffer dogs.

The initial forensic investigation revealed that the woman was murdered a month ago but was not buried properly - the reason why the smell spread in the neighbourhood.

Police removed the body and transferred it to the forensic laboratory for further investigation.

The CID officer said the investigation revealed that the woman was strangled to death by her husband due to family disputes. He buried her and locked the house and put the 'For rent' sign on the door.

After the crime, the husband immediately left for Kerala along with his children.
