Man forgets iPhone in taxi at airport, Dubai cops find it in 20 mins

The Dubai Police is known for their quick response and an Indian traveller from Mumbai can't thank them enough.

Had it not been for their timely help, he would have missed his flight yesterday.

Manmeet Singh reached Dubai International airport, Terminal 1 to catch his flight and realised that he had dropped his iPhone in the taxi.

As it wasn't an Uber, he didn't have the details of the cab driver.

He approached a Dubai Police officer at Departure 3, Ammar Alsaadi and his team regarding his issue and shared details of his cab ride. With just 1.5 hours left to his flight, he informed the police about the time he boarded the cab, the fare he paid and other relevant details.

Alsaadi and his team quickly got on the case and alerted The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).  They then got in touch with the cab driver, who promptly brought Manmeet's iPhone back to the airport.

Manmeet shared the whole episode on his Facebook post and thanked the Dubai Police for their assistance. "I got my cell phone back in 20 mins .. and trust me when I say exactly 20 mins ... I think Dubai police is the most effective and efficient police force ...I mean just look at the reaction time and i got my phone back in 20 mins ... the officer told me that our government says to help each and every person irrespective of his nationality ... hats off to you #dubaipolice and especially to Mr.Ammar Alsasdi ... thanks a lot once again."
