A new medical examination centre for the issuance or renewal of residency visas has opened at the Dragon Mart in Dubai. The centre is equipped with electronic systems and smart technologies that will slash waiting times for customers, the Ministry of Health and Prevention said.
A top official said administrative procedures and the required medical investigations are completed in under 40 minutes, while the fitness certificates are issued within 48 hours.
Dr Hussein Abdel Rahman Rand, assistant undersecretary for health clinics and centres, said: "This decision represents a qualitative step for the medical fitness examination system, which is a fundamental pillar of the society's prevention of communicable diseases."
