Meta Launches New Subscription Service Offering Premium App Features

Meta is introducing a new subscription service called Meta One for users in the UAE. This service offers extra features across WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Meta AI. The core versions of all these popular applications will remain completely free to use. The subscription simply provides access to additional customization and professional digital tools. Prices for these new upgraded features start at Dh5.99 per month.

Exploring The New Menu Of Paid Digital Upgrades

The company announced that more than 50 new features are launching across its apps. They also plan to introduce more tools for products like AI glasses in the future. Globally, these subscription plans have already generated 15 million sign-ups and trials. The most affordable option is WhatsApp Plus, available for Dh5.99 a month. Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus are priced individually at Dh7.99 per month.

The WhatsApp Plus tier offers exclusive chat themes, custom icons, and special-effect stickers. It also allows users to pin more important chats to the top of their feed. Meta plans to test a new storage feature for chat and media backups soon. They are also developing "Focus Schedules" to mute chats during specific times. These features aim to give users more control over their messaging experience.

Bundled Plans Offer Increased Access To AI Tools

Meta offers bundled plans like the Core plan for Dh22.99 and Premium for Dh76.99. These bundles combine app subscriptions with greater access to Meta's advanced AI tools. Subscribers can generate more images and videos using the Meta AI assistant. They also gain additional use of creative tools like Instagram's Restyle and voice effects. Meta emphasizes that basic Meta AI features remain free for everyday users.

The company is also pitching tailored subscriptions specifically to digital creators and businesses. The Essential plan starts at Dh46.99 and includes enhanced professional profiles. It offers automated follow invitations and greater access to the Meta Business Agent. Higher-priced tiers add scheduling capabilities, audience analytics, and team account access. The top-tier Max plan starts at Dh1,199 a month for large enterprises.

This tiered approach allows users to pay only for the advanced tools they actually need. Everyday users can continue enjoying their favorite social apps without paying any fees. The new subscriptions simply provide optional enhancements for power users and businesses.
