Moon-sighting for Ramadan 2018 today

The UAE's committee for moon-sighting will meet today after the Maghrib prayer to announce the date for the commencement of Ramadan.

 

Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi, Minister of Justice, had issued a decision for setting up the moon-sighting committee for the holy month of Ramadan for the Hijri year, 1439. 

Ramadan 2018: Dos and don'ts for non-Muslims

According to different media sources, the committee, chaired by the minister of Justice, includes different representatives and officials from courts and judicial entities.

The decision called on all Shariah courts in the country to look out for the moon and inform the committee.
