Police issue clarification regarding speed limit on key Abu Dhabi road

Abu Dhabi Police has issued a clarification regarding the speed limit on Al Mafraq-Al Ghuwaifat highway.

The speed limit on the highway is set at 160 km/hr and radar flashes if a motorist speeds the vehicle at 161km/hr.

The Abu Dhabi Police had announced in January that radars on Al Mafraq-Al Ghuwaifat highway will catch light vehicles at 161 km/hour.

The new speed limit had come into effect from January 24, 2018.

Earlier the speed limit for the road was set at 140km/hr  effective January 1, 2018, but it had later been increased to 160km/hr.
