Two people died of suffocation after a massive fire broke out at a villa in Sharjah's Maysaloon area on Monday evening, reported Khaleej Times.
An Asian woman and her child who suffered serious burns were taken to hospital for medical treatment. An elderly resident is also in critical condition and under medical observation.
According to emergency officials, the fire also gutted a neighbouring house. More than 30 people were living in the house which was sublet to them without permission from the landlord.
