A video of one such happy parent-student pair has gone viral on social media.
The parent in this video is none other than His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and he is picking up his daughter Sheikha Al Jalila from school.
The video shows Sheikh Mohammed warmly embracing his daughter, before shaking hands with another girl standing next to them.
