Video: Sikh cabbie drives Sheikh Hamdan in New York, doesn't recognise him

It is not uncommon for Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, to walk on the streets in an international country and not be recognised by locals.

Sheikh Hamdan is currently in New York and giving us a glimpse through his Instagram posts.

On his trip, he went ahead and took a local taxi, driven by a Sikh driver, to commute. In the Instagram post he shared, we can see Hamdan commute like a regular passenger as he continues to film the roads of New York from the cab.

After getting down, he thanks the Sikh cabbie for the ride. In reply, the cabbie says, "Okay. Have a nice day."

It seems like the cabbie did not realise that he was driving the Crown Prince of Dubai around New York!

Now, this isn't the first time Sheikh Hamdan has taken public transport in an international city. In 2016, he along with his father, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took the London Underground Tube during a trip to London, much to the surprise of co-passengers.
