SANATH JAYASURIYA (1990-2008)

The powerful and explosive former Sri Lankan opener played 25 Asia Cup matches from 1990 to 2008. He had 24 Asia Cup innings in which he scored a total of 1220 runs at an average of 53. His highest score was 130. The southpaw scored as many as 6 centuries and 3 fifties with 139 fours and 23 sixes at the Asia Cup overall. Not surprisingly Jayasuriya had a strike-rate of 102.5 at the tournament.

KUMAR SANGAKKARA (2004-2014)

In second place is Jayasuriya's compatriot and one of the most prolific run scorers Sri Lanka has ever produced, Kumar Sangakkara. He played a total of 24 Asia Cup matches from 2004 to 2014 and batted in 23. The wicket-keeper-batsman scored 1075 Asia Cup runs in his career at an average of 49. Sangakkara's highest Asia Cup score is 121. He scored four Asia Cup centuries and eight fifties.
