Qatar's population comes back to 2.6mn mark after more than three months

Recent figures show that the population of Qatar has once again returned to exceed 2.6mn mark after more than three months.

The population stood at 2.634mn at the end of September, almost 3.2 per cent more than the figures of the corresponding period last year, as indicated by the figures.

As a matte row fact, the latest figure is about 7.7 per cent more than the population a month ago, which was 2.446mn, supposedly the lowest in the last four months.

However, there usually is a steady rise in the population between the months of October and May, barring in December, when a large segment of the residents are usually away on vacation.
