US President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump on Thursday tweeted Diwali wishes to all those who celebrated the festival in India. She also said she looks forward to her visit to India for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India soon. On his visit to the US in August earlier this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited Ivanka to attend the GES Summit in Hyderabad in November this year.
Ivanka attended Diwali celebrations in the Oval Office two days ago with President Trump. Among the dignitaries present with them were US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, and Administrator of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Seema Verma. Trump said he was deeply honoured to be joined by so many administration officials and leaders of the Indian-American community in celebrating Diwali.
