A 33-yo-old maid, who exploited her employer's young son into activity sexual acts on her has been sentenced to eighteen months' jail.

Indian national, Maid as well as the victim, who  was eleven years previous at the time of the primary offence,, can't be named because of gag orders.

After a 5-day trial, the maid was sentenced last Thursday after being convicted of four charges under the Children and Young Persons Act, and one charge under the Protection from Harassment Act.

The court heard that the offences befell over a four-month amount from Jan 2016, once the maid was alone at home with the boy.

She started with kissing and progressed to molesting him and creating him molest her, the prosecution says.

This caused much psychological damage to the victim,said Public Prosecutor Chee Ee Ling, because the boy felt guilty and was upset that his innocence was taken from him at such a young age.

Furthermore, he was "addicted to the sexual acts" and has difficulties dominant his sexual urges, the official aforesaid. Whenever they argued, the maid would threaten the boy with a pretend video she had purportedly recorded of their sexual acts.

The boy's family eventually detected in July 2016, and a police report was created. The defence asked for fourteen months' jail, that the prosecution says was inadequate, contention instead for 2 years' jail.

"Rather than look after the victim that was her primary duty, she took calculated steps to sexually groom him into her pliant artifact," prosecutor says.

The maid could have been jailed for up to seven years, penalised up to S$20,000 or each for committing Associate in Nursing obscene act with a baby.
