Meanwhile, the self-proclaimed “Godman” has been placed in a single cell in the Rohtak prison, reported NDTV. As per reports, the Dera chief was seen crying alone in the cell on his first night in jail.
 
The “godman” has grown accustomed to a lavish lifestyle and the rough prison life for 20 years seems like a bit of shock to the Dera chief who seems to have crumbled under his impending doom. His lawyers are trying their best for some relief. However, 20 years of imprisonment don’t seem to fit his criminal past appropriately. As per reports of Times Now, many more sadhvis were raped, therefore, this punishment must be re-examined.

Among other crimes, he was also accused of making his followers go through castration urging them that it makes them closer to God. It’s also speculated that Ram Rahim Singh might be behind the murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati who revealed the wrongdoings of the “Godman” in the year 2002.
 
As per officials, reports have been submitted to the center by the Haryana government about the violence in the state post Ram Rahim Singh’s conviction. There are no mentions that the authorities might have erred.
