Gold Bali Kratom; Is It Better Than Kava?

For the majority of the time that kratom has been on the market, there have only been three main strains available: Red, Green and White. Only recently has Gold kratom started to appear. One of the more popular strains of gold kratom happens to be the Gold Bali Kratom, which is well-known for its higher potency and blend of properties.

Kratom in general has grown in popularity. The scientific name for kratom is Mitragyna speciosa. It is a tropical evergreen tree that is part of the Rubiaceae family and is closely related to the coffee and gardenia plants. The Kratom plant is native to Southeast Asia, as well as other tropical countries.

Kratom is not a relatively new plant. It has been used in Southeastern cultures for many years as a form of traditional medicine.

These cultures chew the leaves to relieve chronic pain, increase energy, appetite and sexual desire. They also use the leaves and extracts to treat minor pains such as coughs, diarrhea, intestinal infections, and to heal wounds. Because of its sedative properties, kratom is also used as a local anesthetic and analgesic to reduce fevers and relieve pain in the same way a Tylenol does.

The reason why kratom is so effective as a pain reliever is because it is composed of two compounds that are actually known to produce feelings of sedation, pleasure and decrease pain:

-Mitragynine and

Gold Bali Kratom comes particularly from Bali, hence the name. It is just one of the many kratom strains that comes from that region.

The Differences Between Kratom Strains

In the kratom strain charts, the biggest distinction between red, green and white strains comes from the effects each offers. White kratoms are known as energy enhancers, red are known as sleepers and green are the happy medium in between, taking both the energizing boost of white with the relaxing component of red. The reason why there are three main strains is due to the color of the veins of the leaves of the plant at the moment of harvesting.

The variation in color and effect of the three veins is actually tied to the maturity of the plant and is visually observable in each leaf. White Vein kratom is the young plant, Green Vein Kratom is the plant as it is maturing, and Red Vein Kratom is the fully matured plant. The leaves used to produce red kratom have a pronounced red coloration, while green and white-veined kratom leaves are named after their respective vein color.

Gold kratom does not have gold colored veins in the leaves, but actually yellow. The term “gold” actually fits this strain well for it actually is considered to be the best strain of them all. It is an ideal balance of pain relief and energy boost, smoothly blending many different effects of kratom into one. For this reason, it often times the standard for which other kratoms are compared.

Some of the Gold Bali Kratom effects include:

-Pain Relief

-Energy Boost

-Mild sense of euphoria

What is Kava?

According to WebMd, Kava is a “beverage or extract that is made from Piper methysticum, a plant native to the western Pacific Islands.” It has medicinal properties similar to kratom such as relieving stress and anxiety, depression, and minor aches.

Kava has other benefits such as treating sleeping problems, managing attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and treating epilepsy, psychosis, depression, migraines and other headaches, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), common cold and other respiratory tract infections, tuberculosis, muscle pain, and cancer prevention.

Although kava seems like an incredible, natural remedy to many intense illnesses, it is important to know that it has severe side effects. According to WebMd, constant use of Kava can result in liver damage and in some cases death.

This is not to say that kratom doesn’t have any side effects. Like any drug, natural or pharmaceutical, there can be negative side effects if misused or abused.

Effects of Gold Bali Kratom

As mentioned earlier, Gold Bali gives a gentle energy boost, while maintaining the pain relief component known to red kratoms. Gold Bali is also known to help with relaxation while bringing a mild sense of euphoria. It is believed that Gold Bali balances the relaxation effects well with the energizing effects.

Compared to other strains, Gold Bali Kratom is believed to have longer lasting effects, have a higher potency and have a more varied blend of properties. This makes it a popular strand for avid kratom users.

Even though kratom is a natural tropical tree from Southeast Asia, it can have undesirable effects. The side effects can range from mild to series, and should be taken into consideration before use. Some known side effects include:

-Dry mouth

- Frequent need to urinate

While Kratom vs Kava may be a highly debated topic, we believe that using either in moderation can be beneficial. But we do recommend trying kratom, since more users have had less negative experiences and more medicinal benefits.

Based on research, it seems like Kava is better used for more serious problems as it is a much stronger plant, while kratom can be used for lesser, more common problems.
