An award is definitely a good recognition for any sports person and I think, it definitely helps everybody to do well and inspire people,” said Srikanth.
Indian badminton national coach and former player Pullela Gopichand was among the sports fraternities.
Indian spinner R Ashwin was among the cricketers to attend the awards. Ashwin will be seen in whites against Sri Lanka. He has been phenomenal with the red ball for India.
Indian football skipper Sunil Chhetri has taken Indian football to another level. Under Chheti's captaincy, India have secured qualification for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
