Snapchat rolls out 'multi-snap' feature for Android users

Photo-sharing app Snapchat has rolled out 'Multi-Snap' feature to its Android users. This feature removes the 10-second video recording limit will now let users record up to six 10-second video clips continuously.

To record, users would need to simply tap on the record button. It is also possible to edit the multiple snaps and share them together. They can also delete separate videos but won't be able to reshuffle the order. This move is likely to engage users for a longer time.

For those unaware, this feature was first rolled out for iOS users in July earlier this year. Along with that, the app had also introduced a new tool called Tilt Brush, which was made available on both iOS and Android platforms. This feature allows users to change the colour of a specific subject inside the image. The app can either use machine learning to highlight something, or people can use their fingers to do so.

Recently, Snap Inc, the company behind the Snapchat app laid off 18 people in its recruiting division. Snap chief executive Evan Spiegel told employees in an email last month that the company would hire at a "slower rate" in 2018, and that managers would be asked to make "hard decisions" about employees who are not performing well, Business Insider reported.

In one of the biggest changes, Snapchat recently rolled out 'Snap Map' location sharing feature on its app. The feature allows users to share their current location which appears to friends on a map and updates when you open Snapchat. The feature is already available on iOS and Android app.
