OFWs who lived in the 80s-90s era back in the Philippines will de nitely relish in their memories of enjoying their pizza at the very iconic Shakey’s Pizza Parlor. Fast forward to the present, Shakey’s is now enjoying huge success with over 226 stores with the next store now open in Dubai located at Bur Dubai, opposite Burjuman Mall, Dubai (beside Burjuman Metro Station Exit 4).

On opening night held July 4, Firas Hurieh, CEO of Aljeel Capital, said they are excited with the flagship Shakey’s in the UAE.

He noted that there was great turnout. “We are excited to have more stores in the UAE,” he said.

Restaurant Manager Alfie Alcazar shares that OFWs no longer need to miss their Shakey’s experience in the Philippines as they will be serving their freshest pizzas in the city soon. “We are bringing Shakey’s to Dubai and ensure the Filipinos living here that all of their favorites will be the same as it is in the Philippines,” said Alcazar.

Shakey’s has been in the F&B business since 1954 and has stood the test of time. In the Philippines, they have started their operations in 1975 and more than 40 years later, is still successful with their aim to provide the best service and experience for diners who come to enjoy their food. “Our edge is we been in the market since 1954, we have shared great times and great memories. Shakey’s is all about FUN, FAMILY, and PIZZA,” explains Alcazar.

While Shakey’s has been a brand known to Filipinos in the Philippines for a long time, they also acknowledge that there are other expats in the UAE who treat Dubai as their second home. “We would love to serve and reach out to both the expat and local communities here in the UAE to give Shakey’s a try for them to have a taste of our Pizza and other dishes that have been well-loved for more than 50 years,” said Alcazar.

OFWs can now enjoy the unique taste and blends of Shakey’s Pizza selections, their popular Chicken ‘N’ Mojos, as well as a wide variety of starters, salads, drinks, and desserts!
