Like many work other places which are recommending their employees to work from home. The search giant google took the same step asking their employees working in United states to work from Home at least for a month.

This policy got announced on Tuesday March 10 and it is confirmed by Google spokesperson to Business Insider. Google has also recommended the employees in Europe to work from home. Not only google many other tech giants are insisting their employees to work from home depending on the situation in that specific location.

Sundar Pichai tweeted from his twitter account as a reply to Ina fried’s tweet explaining the situation.

Inafried tweeted with a link stating

“In the most sweeping of the work-from-home policies, Google asks all workers in Canada and US to telecommute if jobs allow.”

“Google has also set up a fund to ensure sick pay for temporary workers, hourly workers and contractors globally.”

To which @Sundarpichai replied

“Contributing to social distancing if you are able to, helps the overall community spread and most importantly, will help offset the peak loads through critical healthcare systems and also saves it for people in need. (based on expert advice). Please contribute if you are able to.”

Us has reported 472 cases and Canada 77 cases Corona according to World Health Organization. With the release of new policy Google has recommended more than a million employees to work from home.
