Stephen Paddock is the most hated man in America right now. The 64-year-old opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. He killed 58 people and injured over 500 before he shot himself in his hotel room.

According to his brother, Paddock was not known for being a guy who used guns. His neighbors in Mesquite described him as a weird, quiet and someone who kept to himself.

The crowd on which Paddock opened fire was enjoying the Route 91 music festival which was being held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

When police reached his room, Paddock was found dead with 17 guns in his room.

Who is the Las Vegas shooter?
He was a former accountant who was living in a retirement community for over 55-year-olds in Mesquite, Nevada with his love interest Marilou Danley. He was said to be a professional gambler and was well known in the high roller circle. His brother Bruce Paddock described him as a multi-millionaire property advisor.

Stephen Paddock had no criminal record and held a hunting license. The report also adds that he may have had psychological problems.

His other brother Eric Paddock was said to be dumbfounded. While speaking to reporters he described Stephen as a guy who played poker and ate burritos.

Security teams found 17 weapons in Paddock’s Mandalay Bay room. Another 18 guns were found at his house in Mesquite with around 1600 rounds of ammunition.
