Can A Working Mother Sponsor Her Child In UAE?

A woman who wishes to sponsor her child in the UAE needs to apply to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners' Affairs (GDRFA) where the woman and her child are located. The visa for your daughter will be issued at the discretion of the directorate.

The basic requirement for a working woman to sponsor her child in the UAE are as follows;

  1. The woman should earn a minimum salary of Dh 10,000, or Dh 7,000 along with accommodation provided either by the employer or your own accommodation.
  2. The woman should also be sponsored by her employer, after which she can apply for a dependent visa in the UAE.
  3. The woman will also need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from her spouse stating that he has no issue with the mother sponsoring the child or living with her.
