Rossano Ferretti will be available for a limited number of appointments, at his salon in Dubai, on November 29 and 30. The Italian hair expert, who has styled celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Middleton, is in the UAE for the official launch of his second salon in the country, in Abu Dhabi, which opened its doors on November 1.
The hairstylist has developed a system of cutting, called “The Method”, which rejects over-styling and avoids unnecessarily complex techniques in favour of an organic cut that enhances the natural fall and swing of the hair.
This might explain why Ferreti also refers to his method as invisible haircuts “because you don't see where it has actually been cut - just movement”.
He adds: “You cannot modify hair. If you go against the hair, you destroy the hair.”
Ferretti’s have also been called the world’s most expensive trims, and a haircut at the Dubai salon will set you back by Dh4,500 at least. If that price made you laugh out loud, or if you don’t manage to snag an appointment with him this time, fret not for all the stylists working at his salons are trained in The Method – and charge far less.
