Domestic violence cases towards women have more than tripled over the last two decades, including women who are minors and elders.
The government recognizes Violence Against Women or VAW as a “pervasive social problem” and sets necessary policies and programs in place. Despite this, several Filipino women and girls continue to experience different forms of abuse every day.
Another example of this was seen on Facebook, as a fan page uploaded a video of a lady getting beaten to a pulp by a man.
The unknown man was on top of the lady and mercilessly punched away at the unnamed woman. The woman tried to get away from the man, but to no avail.
After a few seconds, another man was seen to enter the frame of the video, and pulled the man away from the lady.
Along with the video, the Facebook page also uploaded a picture of the girl after she was beaten.
It is still unknown who the lady was, making it difficult to find and help her.
Filipino Facebook users expressed their rage towards the merciless man and called him all sorts of names.
Many of them are crying out for justice for the poor lady.
