BREAKING NEWS: Typhoon ‘Basyang’ Makes Landfall in Surigao del Sur

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released an update about tropical storm ‘Basyang’.

 

Currently, several areas in the Philippines are experiencing a rainy weather due to typhoon ‘Basyang’. Classes were even suspended in some parts of the country as the tropical cyclone warning signal rose to number 2.

Based on a report in CNN Philippines, the PAGASA has recently released an update about tropical storm Basyang.

Reportedly, it is stated in the 8:00 am bulletin of PAGASA that the storm was spotted 80 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 7:00 o’clock in the morning today. It has made its landfall on Cortes, Surigao del Sur.

According to the report, typhoon Basyang is taking a northwest movement at 25 kilometers per hour. The tropical storm maintained its strength with maximum winds of 65 kph up to 80 kph.
