We all know there’s an image involved when you’re famous. Not only do you have to do your job and get cast in creative projects, but you also have to maintain a certain identity. And there are only a few to choose from. You can be an intellectual, a rebel, a s*x symbol, or, in this case, a sweetheart. If you choose the latter, then you have to be super nice all the time or else it may come back to bite you.

This is a list of those Hollywood sweethearts who aren’t exactly sweet. Of course, we don’t know any of these sweethearts personally, but we usually have a pretty good idea what’s going on. Add a little internet research, and soon you can uncover some not-so-nice details that destroy the sweetheart image.

Meanwhile, some sweethearts are actually sweethearts. Take Kristen Bell for example. She rescues people from hurricanes, visits retirement homes, supports her loving husband and family, and always looks cute as a button. She is the real deal and did not make it to our list of meanies. But don’t worry, there are plenty who did.

15. Emma Watson – Hates Selfies

Okay, Emma, we get it. You’re beautiful, and you’re smart. You can almost pull off the intellectual image, but you came into Hollywood as a child star, so you’re stuck in the sweetheart zone for at least another decade. Doing films like the real-life version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast isn’t going to help you shed the sweetness anytime soon. And she is so squeaky clean, even when her phone got hacked, there was nothing scandalous. But, if you dig deep, you can find the dirt. And the fact is, Emma happens to be a selfie hater. What? It’s true. She won’t do it. If her fan wants one, she’s like, “Nope.” In a day and age when selfies are taken by everyone from toddlers to grandmas, this anti-selfie stance is just plain mean. What’s meaner? She lies. She doesn’t hate selfies. She takes them all the time with her friends, but not her fans.

Blake Lively is pretty much known as the perfect blonde. She’s married to Ryan Reynolds, and they have some kids. Everything pretty much seems fine and dandy. But she’s not as sweet as you think. First of all, she’s a complainer, and she’s mean to Ryan for not doing anything. What? The dude is in the most successful years of his long career and she’s calling him lazy? Come on, Blake, that’s not cool. She once complained that Reynolds just sits around and stares at the television, watching “50 hours a week.” Fifty divided by seven is just over seven hours per day, but he’s probably doing research for his job. He has to keep up to date on what the competition is doing. And another thing, what’s up with B and Leighton Meester? They used to be buds, but it fell apart. Blake must have complained about her too.

Selena Gomez is a beautiful and talented singer and actress and one of the most popular stars in Hollywood. She is also the victim of constant media hype. She has been given the role of sweetheart, largely due to her Disney past. She does play the victim sometimes, which doesn’t help her shed the sweetie vibe. Remember when she showed up on the beach in that pink bikini? She looked great, but a little thicker than usual, and some media outlets called her fat. We totally disagree with that opinion and thought she looked fantastic, but we were slightly put off by the way she complained. The whiny “stop picking on me” attitude seemed childish and rather sweethearty. If she would’ve just said “F you all,” maybe she would have gained more respect. That response would have been genuine. Apparently, that’s the language she uses in real life. Everyone from the Sprouse twins, to Miley Cyrus, and little bro on Waverly, Jake T Austin, all complained about her attitude onset.
